This theme was all about encouraging children to take pride in themselves in terms of health and cleanliness. The theme started with a quiz on health and how to look after your-self. We were extremely impressed about how much the children knew about germs and how often they actually do clean their teeth (they all said three when we were expecting two!) Actually, we notice here in Ecuador, the norm is 3 times a day and many come with their toothbrushes to work or lunch, which I have not seen so much in the u.k.!
Each of the children then made their own booklet in which they could record the daily activities that they did to keep clean, including showering, doing their teeth and washing their hands.
The group also made toothbrush holders out of recycled bottles, pasta and paint.
There were some really impressive designs from both of the activities.
