La Herencia Sangrienta – The Bloody Inheritance a short film made by a group of young people in Flor de Bastion, Guayaquil. Facilitated by Emily Wood and Hannah Whelan as a part of their placement in Ecuador in 2008.
The film aimed to allow the young people to communicate their thoughts, experiences and dreams through the use of film. Participants were encouraged to consider their family relationships and how this affects sense and development of self.
Written, acted, directed, filmed, and edited by the young people themselves. The film has since been screened at the Museum of Modern Art in Guayaquil and International Student Ethnographic Film Festival at Goldsmiths University in London in 2008.
